Our mission is to do our best to build God’s kingdom in our corner of the world by bringing good news to the afflicted, binding up the brokenhearted, proclaiming liberty to captives, freedom to prisoners, and caring for orphans & widows.
Over the past 40 years, Renewal Ministries has developed into a unique blend of outreaches including leadership development, support for rural pastors and their churches, goat projects, Moses Basket, Extreme Social Renewal Projects, and much more.
As the Bible says in Isaiah 61:1, Renewal Ministries is passionate about "bringing good news to the afflicted, binding up the brokenhearted, and proclaiming liberty to captives and freedom to prisoners.” We rejoice that we get to take part in God’s mission of restoring broken lives. It is our ongoing goal to always say “Yes!” to whatever God asks us to do to accomplish His plan & purpose.
The Broom Family
Meet our family
We are the Broom Family, serving the Lord in Zimbabwe, Africa. Our life is a beautiful full-to-overflowing blend of raising world changers, serving on the Renewal Fellowship leadership team, overseeing the runnings of Renewal Ministries locally and traveling across the globe to share about the exciting things we get to be a part of that God is doing in our corner of the world.
The History of Renewal Ministries
We are the second Broom generation leading the way forward for Renewal Ministries. It was founded by Dave & Maxine Broom, Sr. in the early 1980’s.
They traveled all over Africa teaching on leadership, marriage and family dynamics principles. Dave & Maxine also spent a lot of time traveling internationally to teach at many Family Foundations International Conferences. Dave & Maxine caused Renewal Ministries to be a pioneer throughout Africa, leading the fight for godly marriages, strong families, and integrity in church leadership. Their ministry had a profound impact on many pastors, business leaders and families worldwide.
In 2014 the ministry was passed on to the second generation Brooms to continue going out and doing our best to carry on the mission of Renewal Ministries. To read a couple of our monthly ministry updates, click on our Newsletter link above.
