About Us

Dave and Maxine Broom began Renewal Ministries in 1982. They have been married since 1963 and have four children and ten grandchildren. Their first two daughters, Adele and Karen, live in Zimbabwe. Adele is working with them in the local church and Karen is the headmistress of a pre-school run by her local church.

Their third daughter, Pippa, lives in Kennesaw, Georgia, and is in ministry with her husband, Jeff, who is director and founder of Mighty River Ministries. Jeff and Pippa also pastor Victory North Church in Kennesaw, Georgia. Their son, David and his wife, Amy, live in Rockford, Illinois. David is a Doctor of Chiropractic and an accomplished Bible teacher and minister.

Dave was born in Zimbabwe and Maxine was born and raised in England and later moved to Zimbabwe. During the many years they have lived there they have developed a real heart for the local people. They attended Christ For The Nations International (CFNI), where they received teaching, training, and equipping to do the work the Lord put on their hearts.

Dave and Maxine are committed to maintaining an intimate, transparent, one-flesh relationship in their marriage and believe this has greatly contributed to the effectiveness of their ministry. They are convinced that to function in God's ministry requires not only a united vision between husband and wife but also a home that operates in spiritual unity.

This thrust, when communicated to various cultural and ethnic groups, has proven wonderfully successful in setting people free from many of the traditional bondages that have kept God's people from giving full expression to His call on their lives. The ministry is not tied to any one denomination but develops and maintains close relationships between leaders of many different church groups for God's work transcends denominational lines.
